The annual Camtown Youth Festival returns to Crown Park in Camas from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 4, and with it, the Camtown-Forgey art show.

The Camtown-Forgey art show offers an opportunity for budding or accomplished artists to participate in an activity which encourages imagination and shares the creativity of our talented youth with the community. The students’ artwork will be displayed, during the one-day event, in Scout Hall located on the grounds of Crown Park, 120 N.E. 17th Ave., Camas. This year’s theme is “Sharing Cultural Diversity.”

Students who wish to participate in the art show can register by visiting cityofcamas.us/parks and clicking on the “Special Events” tab then clicking on the “Camtown Youth Festival” link.

Youth artists are encouraged to register online, but can also call 360-834-5307 for an alternative way to register. Entry rules and guidelines can be found online at cityofcamas.us/parksrec/page/camtown-youth-festival-0

The festival is a free event designed, programmed and operated by local youth, for local youth ages 3 to 16. The event is made possible thanks to a partnership between the city of Camas and the Camas School District, and support provided by numerous organizations, businesses and individuals.

In addition to the art show, the event will also include a variety of games, crafts, entertainment, food, a flea market, a petting zoo and information tables.

More information can be found online at cityofcamas.us/parks under the “Special Events” tab.
