Want to enjoy tropical cocktails and tasty bites, live music and after-hours shopping in historic downtown Camas? The Downtown Camas Association’s newest event, “Summer Nights Sips & Bites” might be the perfect answer.

The DCA and participating downtown Camas businesses will host the new event from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, throughout the city’s historic downtown shopping area.

Tickets for this new summer event cost $25, and can be purchased at eventbrite.com/e/downtown-camas-summer-nights-sips-bites-tickets-586087081237. The event has limited capacity, and people are encouraged to get their tickets ahead of time. The event is a fundraiser for downtown efforts hosted by the DCA, and is open only to those age 21 and older.

Ticket holders will have access to exclusive shopping specials alongside cocktail sips and bites from Tommy O’s and selected artisan food makers from the Camas Farmer’s Market.

Event goers will check in at the DCA tables in the Journey Church lobby, located at 304 N.E. Fourth Ave., the evening of the event to receive their wristband and passport.

Tropical dress is encouraged for this event, and event goers who dress up will get a ticket for a special “summer staycation in downtown Camas” prize. The event also will feature a contest for best Hawaiian shirt, to be judged live on social media.
