The Camas Parks & Recreation Pumpkin Party will celebrate its 35th year with special give-a-ways, and all the fun carnival and fall activities the public has come to enjoy, on Saturday, Oct. 28.

The event will be held from 6:30 to 9 p.m., Oct. 28, at Liberty Middle School, 1612 N.E. Garfield St., Camas.

The Pumpkin Party will feature carnival games, prizes, candy, fall crafts, a photo booth and a costume contest, which begins at 8:15 p.m. Partygoers are encouraged to bring their own cameras for the photo booth.

Special, anniversary trick-or-treat bags will be given to the first 35 children, and mini pumpkins will be given to the first 300 children in attendance. The activities are designed for ages 12 and under, and children must be accompanied by an adult.

The event is free; however, two cans of food or non-perishable items will enter participants in the drawing of the annual Halloween-themed basket of goodies.  Donations benefit the Interfaith Treasure House’s food bank.

This year’s Pumpkin Party sponsors include Camas Community Education, Camas School District, Portland Party Works and VFW Post 4278.
