Volunteers needed for Downtown Camas Spring Cleanup and Planting Day

The Downtown Camas Association’s Downtown Camas Spring Cleanup and Planting Day will take place from 12:30-4 p.m. Sunday, April 27.

Volunteers willing to pitch in to help beautify the city’s historic downtown shopping and dining district are asked to gather at Journey Church, 304 N.E. Fourth Ave., Camas, at 12:30 p.m. April 27 to receive a free boxed lunch and information about the event.

Participants are asked to bring their own gloves, spades, shovels, buckets and, if possible, wheelbarrows to help weed, pick up trash, plant flowers and spread bark dust throughout downtown Camas. The DCA will provide rubber gloves and bags for picking up trash.
