Washougal Citizen Academy graduates 22 residents

The city of Washougal celebrated the graduation of 22 participants from its Citizen Academy during a ceremony held June 8 at the Washougal Community Center.

The latest graduating class brings the total number of Citizen Academy graduates to 59 since the program launched in April 2025.

The Citizen Academy is designed to give residents a behind-the-scenes look at city government, including municipal operations, public safety services, infrastructure and community planning. Participants have opportunities to interact with city staff and learn how local government functions.
