Camas seeks help planning ‘North Shore’

It has been more than six years since Camas City Council members approved an agreement designed to guide future development of the city’s “North Shore,” an 800-acre swath of land that extends from Lacamas Lake to Camas’ northern city limits and has long been touted for its potential to house Camas’ burgeoning population, provide parks and open spaces for future generations and build the city’s inventory of commercial and industrial land.

CHS football team advances to quarterfinals

The undefeated Camas High School (CHS) football team has fought its way into the 4A state tournament quarterfinals and earned another home game, this time against Puyallup High School (PHS) on Saturday, Nov. 23.

Vintage shop opens in Washougal

Ellen Fanale wasn’t happy after moving to Camas from southern California in 2013. Dealing with Type 1 diabetes and other illnesses, she refused to get out of bed on most days. She stayed only because her husband, Sal, said he didn’t want to move again.

Panthers post historic victory

When the Washougal High School (WHS) football team returns to action against Lynden High School (LHS) on Saturday, Nov. 23, in Bellingham, it will have a chance to advance to the state tournament semifinal round, a feat that’s happened only once in school history, in 1974.
