WHS senior overcomes challenges, set to graduate

Washougal High School will celebrate its Class of 2020 graduates with a series of events this weekend, including a senior car parade through downtown Washougal on Friday, June 5, and a virtual graduation ceremony broadcast live on the high school’s YouTube channel at 5 p.m. Saturday, June 6.

The Camas School Board Tuesday unanimously approved plans to move forward with the renovation of the historic Joyce Garver Theater.

The $119 million construction bond passed by Camas School District voters in 2016 includes the remodeling and reopening of the historic Garver Theater, located at the corner of Northeast 15th Avenue and Northeast Garfield Street in Camas. Bids for the project recently came in $2 million over budget.
