Port commissioner questions customer service at Washougal Transfer Station

A Port of Camas-Washougal commissioner is questioning the quality of customer service at the Washougal Transfer Station, a solid waste and recycling center located at 4020 S. Grant St., in Washougal, that is governed by a contract between Clark County and Columbia Resource Company, a division of Waste Connections of Washington.

Washougal High students take ‘Brightpath’

Gabby McCormick said she knew she was interested in interior design when she first used the YouScience program known as “Brightpath” during the 2021-22 school year at Washougal High School, but she didn’t realize how much the program would help her gain the practical information she needed to help plan her future career goals.

Washougal jiu-jitsu students win big at tournament

The Vancouver-based Fabiano Scherner Association, consisting mostly of students from Washougal’s Lone Wolf Jiu Jitsu Academy, took first place Dec. 10, at the Grappling Industries Portland Tournament, held in Happy Valley, Oregon.
