Group aims to beautify stretch of Highway 14

First, East County Citizens Alliance (ECCA) volunteers launched an ongoing effort to pick up litter from state Route 14 (Highway 14) between Camas and Washougal. Then, they formally “adopted” the stretch of road through the Washington State Department of Transportation’s Adopt-A-Highway program.

Washougal Art Festival seeking applications

The Washougal Arts and Culture Alliance (WACA) has issued a call-for-artists for the 2023 Washougal Art Festival, to be held on Saturday, Aug. 12, at Reflection Plaza in downtown Washougal.

Washougal to celebrate Youth Arts Month

The 2023 Washougal Youth Arts Month celebration, coordinated by the Washougal School District and the Washougal Arts and Culture Alliance (WACA), kicks off this week, featuring a variety of events and activities showcasing many forms of artwork by Washougal youth.

Lacamas Heritage Trail to close March 6-1

A portion of the Lacamas Heritage Trail will be closed for resurfacing beginning Monday, March 6. North Cascade Excavating will be resurfacing the trail between the trailhead at 7986 N.E.
