Repair Clark County to help fix broken household items

“Get around to it” piles happen to the best of us. These are the boxes and bags we keep in our garages, basements and attics that are filled with broken necklaces we meant to repair, dull knives we meant to sharpen and antique gadgets we meant to take to an expert to see if they’re worth keeping.

Alifelong lover of lakes, rivers, oceans, pools and pretty much all things swimmable, I’ll admit I was overly excited last spring, when my partner, Andy, told me he wanted to go shopping for kayaks.

Washougal bike pump track may see movement

After facing multiple setbacks, city of Washougal officials are cautiously optimistic that the long-awaited construction of a pump track and jump lines at Hamllik Park’s bicycle skills course will begin in the spring of 2020.

Nonprofit organizes volunteers to help seniors age in place

In Hillary Clinton’s book, “It Takes a Village,” the former Secretary of State is referring to an African proverb that says, “It takes a village to raise a child.” But the same could be said of helping seniors “age in place.”
