Radcliff A daughter has been born to Greg and Mandy Radcliff of Washougal.

Souvenir champagne flutes, with the etched "Kool Kat" logo, are available to purchase. The top of the bar, which includes broken glass images of bubbles coming out of champagne flutes, was designed by Krystal Curtis, her mother Carol Curtis and champagne server Ashley Gibson. Scott McElhaney and champagne server Pete Scully poured the epoxy.

Ron Gompertz, a former Camas resident, recently released his second novel, "Aqueduct to Nowhere."

Gompertz releases second novel

Humorist Ron "R.S." Gompertz says, "There's no time like the past to laugh at the present." The former Camas resident is hoping that the success of his first novel, "No Roads Lead to Rome," will have paved the way for a sequel that's been four years in the making.

Excelsior names 'Phoenix on Fire' Matthew Quist is the December student of the month at Excelsior High, Washougal's alternative school. The "Phoenix on Fire," award goes to a student who is, "inspiring, responsible, respectful, has great attendance, an excellent work ethic and positive attitude."
