Vandalism outrages Dorothy Fox community Recently, Dorothy Fox Elementary School was vandalized. Someone spray painted random graffiti on most of the playground walls.
Camtown poster contest open to local youth Entries are now being accepted for the 2012 Camtown Youth Festival poster contest. These must be turned in by Friday, March 30. Camas youth of all ages are eligible to participate in the poster contest. Winning designs will be used for Camtown promotional flyers, posters, etc. Poster designs must be drawn on white, 8.5 inch by 11 inch paper.
Camas Parks and Recreation Community Center, 718 S.E. Seventh Ave., 834-5307 o Junior camp counselor training, $35: Provides pre-training for ages 12 to 16 who want to become camp counselors. The training is held Monday, April 2 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Unhappy about Washougal utility rates I don't know if you have noticed, but Washougal residents' water, sewer and storm water bill has gone up and will continue to do so each year from 2011 to 2015. The people living outside of the city limits will be paying even more.

Elisabeth Balarie and Taylor Andrew Heberling have announced their plans to be married in April 2012 in an outdoor ceremony in Sacramento, Calif. A reception will be held in Camas in May.
Camas track and field teams sweep Kelso The Papermaker girls scored just enough points on the track and in the field to defeat the Hilanders 76-74 Thursday, at Kelso High School.
The Camas Farmer's Market was one of 29 non-profit organizations to recently receive a grant from New Seasons Market. According to Camas Farmer's Market board member Carrie Schulstad, the $2,000 grant will be used as matching funds for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, in an effort to increase access to fresh, healthy foods for low-income families receiving assistance. It would be the first S.N.A.P. match program in Clark County. The S.N.A.P. program allows consumers to purchase farmers market items with electronic benefit transfer cards. According to the grant application, the project would provide matching S.N.A.P. tokens up to $5 per week for an average of 15 S.N.A.P. customers per week during each of the 18 weeks of the Camas Farmer's Market season.
