Washougal names new high school head

The Washougal School District has selected a new Washougal High School principal to replace outgoing principal Aaron Hansen, who was recently promoted to serve as an associate superintendent for the district.

Camas High students create esports club

Tomer Dagan has been playing video games for most of his life. He specialized in single-player affairs such as “Minecraft” until he got into middle school, at which point he started to learn more about the competitive gaming scene.

For years, Camas High School seniors Monica Chang, Rachel Blair and Abby Jiang have been listening to TED Talks, influential videos from expert speakers on a variety of topics such as education, business, science, technology and creativity curated by the TED Conferences media organization.

Sign of Success

Tami Grant, the Washougal School District’s nominee for the 2020 Washington “teacher of the year” award, has worked as a sign language interpreter for Vancouver-based Sorenson Communications for the past 10 years and has taught American Sign Language (ASL) at Washougal High School for the past 12 years, but her connection to the deaf culture and community goes back much further.
