WHS wrestling teams sweep sub-regionals

Just two days after winning its ninth consecutive 2A GSHL title with a 46-27 win over Woodland, the Washougal boys wrestling team won the District 1 sub-regional tournament at Hockinson High School on Feb. 8. Not to be outdone, the Panthers’ girls also won the top prize at sub-regionals.

Camas wrestlers prepare for postseason

The yearly battle between the Camas and Union boys wrestling teams is always their biggest dual meet of the season and usually decides the 4A Greater St. Helens League title. That was the case once again Jan. 29, when the Titans won their eighth league title in nine years on the Papermakers’ mat in the Camas High School gymnasium, known in wrestling circles as “The Warehouse.”
