A Washougal School Board member is calling for more transparency from Washougal School District (WSD) leaders, who he claimed failed to notify the Board in a timely manner about a financial warning the district received from the Washington Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI).

Washougal School District receives ‘financial warning’ from state

The Washougal School District (WSD) has received a “financial warning” from the Washington Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction’s (OSPI)’s School District Financial Health Indicators Model, indicating that the district is “facing potential difficulties.”

Camas SD budget survey open through Nov. 6

The Camas School District’s “Balancing the Budget” survey, collecting public input on the district’s need to make 10-12% budget cuts ahead of the 2025-26 school year, is live online and available to the public through Wednesday, Nov. 6.
