Brian Humphreys shot a 286 at the Pacific Coast Amateur Championship July 18-21, at Chambers Bay. The Washougal golfer tied for 21st place and finished five strokes out of the top 10. He shot 4-under July 19 and even par 71 July 20. This photo was taken at the Oregon Amateur Championship, where Humphreys took second place. Motocross returns to Washougal this Saturday

The Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing, is back in Washougal for the Peterson CAT Washougal National this weekend. The touring championship holds its ninth round of races at Washougal MX Park on Saturday. The national amateur days began earlier this week, on July 26.

New Camas boys soccer coach gets head start at annual youth camp

When Dan Macaya was a senior at Camas High School, he developed a senior project that not only met his career interest in teaching physical fitness, but also gave back to his community.
