Was wind storm damage a natural occurrence or man-made? The wind storm this past Tuesday/Wednesday was nothing new. We have had these types of storms every year. We occasionally lost a tree. But this one was very different.

Nancy Wilson, executive director of the Inter-Faith Treasure House, is seeking individuals who can cook dinner for 50 to 60 people, on the second Monday of the month, at Zion Lutheran Church.

A decade of serving the hungry

A former migrant worker who lived in Texas is gratified to help feed residents from Camas, Washougal and neighboring communities.

Creating a space of their own

Thanks to a grant from Samsung and the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, local students will have access to technology tools in a comfortable, safe environment after school lets out for the day.

State Board of Education will meet this week

The Washington State Board of Education will meet at Educational Service District 112 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday to discuss the kindergarten through 12th grade system's transition to career and college-ready standards, and impacts on high school graduation requirements.
