Camas student accepted into OSF Summer Seminar Kelsey Kuhta of Camas has been accepted into the Oregon Shakespeare Festival's 2014 Summer Seminar. The program, designed for high school juniors, includes students from all over the United States.

‘Help find Anji’

It's a tragic story. One that many are hoping and praying has a happy ending. Angelic "Anji" Dean, who recently completed her junior year at Camas High School, disappeared from her west Camas home late in the evening on Monday, June 23. Nobody has seen or heard a word from her since. She's sent no text messages, and made no credit card transactions, phone calls or posts on social media that anyone can trace.

Now is the time to tighten fireworks laws Well, another July Fourth has come and gone. Another mess is left in the streets and yards, and on rooftops and decks as testimony.

Camas High School seniors Emily Conner and Konner Lessard help advertise the fireworks stand located on 192nd Avenue and First Street in Camas on Thursday. Owned by Gene Marlow, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Camas High School and Union High School.

Celebrating the Fourth with fireworks

Fireworks are currently being sold at booths throughout the Camas-Washougal area. Proceeds from several of the stands benefit local groups, including non-profit organizations, churches and schools.

Students share their love of reading

Canyon Creek Middle School National Junior Honor Society gave to their community and shared their own passion for reading through a book drive to help underprivileged and at-risk youth. The group began planning in mid-May for the two week drive that brought in 1,451 books for the local Children's Home Society of Washington.

Local students graduate from Oregon State University Several local students earned degrees from Oregon State University last month. Commencement was held Saturday, June 14.
