Kindergarten ’round-up’ set for Washougal schools

Registration for children entering kindergarten at Cape Horn-Skye, Gause, and Hathaway elementary schools for the 2011-2012 school year will be held Monday, May 2 to Friday, May 6, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the school where the child will attend. Children entering kindergarten must be 5 years old on or before Aug. 31.

Library changes spring break movie to 'Megamind' The Camas Public Library will change one of the movies it will show during the popular annual spring break movies. On Friday, April 8 instead of, "The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader," the library will show, "Megamind," another recent PG movie.

Washougal police arrest heroin and meth dealers

Two men and a woman were arrested over the weekend on various drug charges, after Washougal police executed a narcotics search warrant on a room at the Rama Inn. Isaiah Richey (also known as Isaiah Oviatt), 19, of Washougal, and April Green, 24, were arrested for possession with the intent to deliver heroin and methamphetamine. Green's city of residence is listed as unknown in the WPD report.

BPA should 'do the right thing' BPA appears to take the position that since they have an existing right-of-way they can do anything on it with impunity no matter how it affects the community.
