Camas High School’s tennis court revamp gets environmental OK from City

The city of Camas has determined the Camas School District’s plan to revamp the Camas High School tennis courts — adding an all-weather dome and resurfacing the courts, installing new lights and improving an adjacent parking lot — will not adversely impact the environment.

Port focuses on EV charger push

Port of Camas-Washougal Commissioner Cassi Marshall is calling for the Port to brainstorm ways to effectively market its new electric vehicle (EV) charging station in an effort to convince potential customers to drive “a bit off of their regular route.”

Washougal Pit owner tries again to resume mining

One year after being denied by Clark County, Ridgefield resident Judith Zimmerly is once again attempting to obtain permits to resume mining on her property known as the Washougal Pit.

Washougal car dealership first in county to offer new statewide EV rebate

Like many other car dealerships across the United States, Westlie Ford has been impacted by the decreased customer demand for electric vehicles in the past several years. Nevertheless, the Washougal-based dealership remains firmly invested in the EV market, cautiously optimistic that consumers will view EVs more favorably as technology improves.
